Pecan Energies

In April 2023, AFC completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Pecan Energies AS (“Pecan Energies”, previously “Aker Energy A.S.”) from Aker Energy Limited. Pecan Energies holds a 50% operatorship interest in the Deep Water Tano/Cape Three Points (“DWT/CTP”) license, located offshore Ghana. Following AFC’s acquisition, the Government of Ghana approved the license’s Plan of Development. The development of the DWT/CTP license is expected to contribute up to US$20 billion to state income of the Government of Ghana, boost the country’s GDP by an additional US$35 billion, and create up to 9,000 jobs by 2040.
